A Free, Multiplayer Studio Ghibli Game

Surprise! Studio Ghibli has just put online a multiplayer game in which this good old Totoro wanders in the Ghibli Park. No flash game on the menu but a board game that aims to promote the theme park. A simple board game, which can be printed in a few clicks, and which is similar to a classic game of goose. The characters like the dice can be cut out of the board itself, while the board is full of details and is presented as a guided tour of the Ghibli Park.

A very colorful board that allows you to discover, in a very simple way, we agree, the different areas of the park. Ghibli's Great Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke Village, Witch Valley, your character wanders all along the route, traveling from one universe to another. A six-sided die is included, with a susuwatari, a black girl in French, as a 1. You will have to roll this die a bunch of times. Despite everything, the principle is simple, get your character to Totoro. Although the rules are within everyone's reach, the fact that the game is only available in Japanese may put some people off.

If you still want to try to play a game, know that your character starts at the bottom right, in the blue area where a train is visible. Each square has a different effect with an effect that you can easily translate with a real-time translation application. Instructions have already been listed on English-speaking sites if you are bilingual, know that the effects are easy to remember. Sometimes you move forward a few squares, sometimes you move back. But this gift may well seduce some Studio Ghibli fans, it remains to be seen whether they will be brave enough to start a game.
