Elon Musk has donated about $44 million to his super PAC supporting Donald Trump in the election, Reuters reported.
Preliminary data showed that Musk gave about $75 million to PAC America over the three months from July to September, bringing his total contribution to $119 million.
Separately, the Trump campaign reported spending more than $88 million on advertising in the first half of the month, leaving $36 million in the bank for the final stage of the campaign. Trump's campaign raised $16 million during the period.

Harris's campaign raised $97 million during the first half of the month and had $119 million in the bank as of Oct. 16.
Musk previously announced that he would pay up to $1 million a day to a random Pennsylvania person who signs his petition ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
The Justice Department sent a letter warning that such giveaways could violate federal law, CNN reported Wednesday.
