Playlist of Ukrainian music for August 2024

Enjoy new musical releases presented in August 2024. These compositions are definitely worth your attention.

Jerry Heil and Volodymyr Dantes – “Lips in lips”

According to Jerry Heil, her writing was inspired by warm memories of her youth.

I wanted to be reminded of carefree times, when the worst thing was to come home too late. The summer that seemed endless, summer camps, first kisses, fights at the club, freedom and the feeling that your whole life is ahead, when behind you is only your parents' house, from which you want to escape,
– she notes.

NAZVA and Brykulets – “I am a stranger”

Many people cannot return to their country, city, district, apartment, house, village, town… Some cannot do this because of political forced relocation, some because they have to fight for their city outside its borders, and some simply because of a quarrel with his relatives, he cannot go to his native house,
– the musicians said.

KOLA and GEED – “Dark Blue”

The basis of the lyrical composition was the poem “I love you two times” by Ukrainian writer Mykola Vingranovsky. The track “Dark Blue” is a frank dialogue that reflects the diversity of love and reveals the inner experiences of two people united by a strong feeling.

This song is a mantra for anyone who feels that love is fading, but it is worth looking for a way to restore it. It is important not to give up, but to remember that even the smallest spark can start a fire. She talks about how important it is to keep warmth in a relationship and not let feelings cool down,
– KOLA commented.

Dorofeeva – “Nitroglycerin”

The rhythmic track was written by musician and restaurateur Misha Katsurin, who is not the first to lend a hand to the creation of his wife's hits. The song talks about the pain and mistakes of the past, which every time make people stronger and give motivation to move forward.

It is a powerful energy that is hidden in our pain points and wounds of the past that makes us braver and stronger. My strength lies in gratitude for everything that happened, acceptance and readiness to move on. This is about my new release,
– commented the singer.

MÉLOVIN – “You're killing me”

A mood video was shot for the song “You're killing me”, which conveys the mood and emotions. MELOVIN notes that through the video one feels the closedness of the space, stiffness and even the inability to breathe.

This is a mood video – my interpretation. Now it's your turn to try on and choose your own meaning of this work. Mine is not as important here as yours. Doubt, think, search, choose for yourself what it is about for you,
– adds the artist.

Sviatoslav Vakarchuk and other stars – “That Day”

According to the leader of OE, when choosing these artists, they focused on a certain criterion.

“There was a desire to sing with those performers who were literally born either during the time when “Ocean Elsa” was created, or after, that is, they are the same age as the group. At the same time, I wanted them to be musicians, each of whom has his own achievements in musical life, and it is clear that the voices and styles should fit this song has his absolutely undeniable talent,” said Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.

According to KOLA, which a year ago released the joint song “When we are two” with “Ocean Elsa”, Vakarchuk is attentive to young performers and has a big kind heart , lives by music and gave her a lot of “priceless advice”.

Klavdia Petrivna and Tvorchi – “Orbits”

According to the artists, “Orbits” is a composition about two strong personalities who, despite their desire to be together, do not give in to each other.

This fit was not supposed to be, but it was born better than we could have imagined! “Orbits” is about two strong and stubborn personalities who at the same time want to be together and do not give in to each other,
– commented the artists.

The track “Orbits” is included in the duet's upcoming album “Planet X” Tvorchi, the release of which is scheduled for September 13.

Tina Karol – “Open”

The song “I open” is full of female energy and magnetism, as the singer assured. The composition combines dance drive and deep meanings with which the artist impressed her fans.

“This is my musical message to you! The clip for the new song “Opening” is already on YouTube. Enjoy the video work and the soundtrack of your fall. The atmosphere of alienation and freedom, magnetism and a flurry of feelings and inspiration. This is what you need,” Tina Karol wrote in description under the photo from the shoot published on Instagram.
