The animated film “Thoughts Inside Out 2” (“Puzzle 2”) became the highest-grossing cartoon in history. Therefore, the Pixar company decided to expand the universe of “Thoughts” and makes new spinoffs.

The action of the series, which received the name “Dream Productions”, takes place between the events of “Thoughts Inside Out” and “Thoughts Inside Out 2”. The first teaser of the animated series appeared on YouTube.

The script for the spinoff “Thoughts Inside Out” was written by Mike Johnson (who also acted as a director), and Jacqueline Simon was brought in as a producer. Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ellie Mackie, Kensington Tallman, Lisa LaPira, Tony Gale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith voice the characters.

Riley grows up and her memories need further processing. So Joy and the rest of the emotions send them to Dream Productions, where dreams really do come true – on time and within the limits of the specified budget, – says the description of the series.

The plot revolves around emotions that work at a dream production studio for the main character of the cartoon, Riley. The first episode of the series “Dream Productions” will be released on Disney+ as early as December 11, 2024. In total, the animated series will consist of four episodes.

Original cartoon “Thoughts Inside Out” by Peter Docter debuted in 2015 and became a hit, grossing $800 million worldwide. At the same time, the sequel, which was released this year, surpassed these gains and became the “richest” cartoon in history with a box office of $1.5 billion. Pixar is currently discussing the ideas of the cartoon “Inside Out 3”.
