Motorola Announces Moto G64 5G Smartphone With 6,000mAh Battery

Less than 24 hours after Motorola teased the audience a little bit that it is planning to release a smartphone with a rather vague tagline soon “Unleash The Beast”, she suddenly decided to reveal all the cards and directly presented the Moto G64 5G model on social networks.

The post that appeared on the official account of Motorola India on Twitter, designed to raise the hype on the eve the launch of the new smartphone, which is scheduled for April 16. And, it seems, the company succeeded. However, it is not yet known whether this mid-budget device with 5G support will go on sale in the global market, but there is a possibility.

This is the first smartphone based on the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor, which manufacturers advertise as “extremely energy efficient” and is able to provide “high speeds”. Since this means nothing to users, it is worth noting that this is an 8-core processor on a 6 nm process with a clock frequency of up to 2.5 GHz.

It certainly doesn't compete with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is expected to be installed on the Edge 50 Ultra, but it still looks like a very well-balanced mid-range chip (at least on paper) that could well compete with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and even the SD 7+ Gen 3. Coupled with a huge 6000 mAh battery, it's likely to deliver a pretty decent battery life.

According to the promo page already created on Flipkart, this smartphone will also support 33W fast charging and more interestingly, it will come with a 33W TurboPower charger as standard. Among the remaining specifications – 6.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and support for 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Since the best mobile games tend to use a lot of memory, Motorola plans to not only install up to 12 GB of RAM on the Moto G64 5G, but also make it possible to expand this amount to 24 GB. Despite everything, the device promises to be “super light” and “super thin” – 192 g and 8.89 mm. A 50-megapixel camera with OIS support will be installed on its back panel, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. There will be a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

However, Motorola can only promise one major OS update after Android 14 out of the box, as well as a solid three years of security patches. Of course, if the price of the Moto G64 5G turns out to be very tasty, many will ignore this drawback and focus on the undeniable advantages of the device.
