The British, and not only them, were simply stunned when they found out that they had been washing their hair incorrectly all their lives. Read on to learn about your biggest mistake in this regard.

Sometimes in adulthood it can seem like you're doing everything right, and the harsh reality is that you really are. Especially when it comes to shampooing. You may think that you have mastered all the intricacies of washing your hair as a child, but a hairdresser discovered that we all make a critical mistake, writes The Metro.

Felicity Nicole has gone viral on the X Network after dotting all the 'i's' for this seemingly simple task – with many saying their hair looks and feels so much better after using her tips .

In 2022, she stated that not everyone knows that when taking a shower you should shampoo your hair twice, not once. She explained, “The first time will clean your hair of all the oils and product build-up, so that when you do it a second time, the shampoo can really do what it's meant to do.”

  • Also, apply shampoo only to the scalp and when you wash it out, it will go through the middle and ends.
  • Then apply conditioner only to the middle and ends of the hair, and use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to detangle your hair in the shower before the conditioner has washed out.
  • And finally, don't forget to wash your hair 2-3 times a week, because washing too often can lead to even more build-up and damage to the hair.

< p>It seemed to have immediate results for some people, as one user wrote in response to the post: “I saw this yesterday and decided to try your double-washing tip when I washed my hair tonight… Oh my! THANK YOU! My hair honestly feels better now! I can't believe how much it's made a difference – or that I'm 26 and finally learned how to wash my hair properly.”

Felicity replied to say : “I'm so glad it helped!!! Keep it up and you'll see a big difference.”

Hopefully you wash your hair twice. If not, then it's time to finally correct this disparity.
