Most Britons and Germans oppose Musk's interference in their countries' internal affairs

The majority of residents of Great Britain and Germany consider Elon Musk's attempts to influence their national politics unacceptable and believe that the American tycoon knows little about both countries and the problems they face.

These are the results of a YouGov poll, reports “European Pravda” with reference to The Guardian.

The poll found that only 13% of respondents in both countries considered Musk’s interference in their politics acceptable, while 69% in the UK and 73% in Germany expressed the opposite view. Majorities also considered his interference in US politics unacceptable.

The poll, which surveyed more than 2,200 people in each country, also found that a majority (54%) in both countries believed it was “not important” for their governments to develop good relations with Musk, while about 50% believed it was better to ignore him.

When asked how well the billionaire understands the politics of both countries and the issues they face, respondents responded equally sharply: only about a fifth in each country said he knew “a lot” or “quite a lot,” while 63% – “a little” or “nothing at all.” The same percentage believes that he does not understand European politics and problems at all.

Recall that in recent weeks, Elon Musk has been actively commenting on the political situation in European countries and directly calling for the resignation of the heads of government of Great Britain and Germany.

In Germany, Musk caused outrage a few weeks before the federal elections with his comment claiming that only the far-right Alternative for Germany can “save Germany” and calling Chancellor Olaf Scholz an incompetent fool.

According to media reports, Elon Musk has also held private discussions with allies about removing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer from his post before the next elections.
