(Calgary) Morgan Reilly had three assists and the Calgary Maple Leafs defeated the Calgary Flames 3-2 on Sunday.
Wayne Simmonds scored his first goal in the Maple Leafs uniform and Jake Muzzin scored his first goal of the campaign. Auston Matthews has also hit the target for Torontonians.
Mitch Marner was on two goals for the Maple Leafs, which saw Jack Campbell stop 31 of 33 shots directed at him. Campbell registered a second victory in as many starts this season.
Sean Monahan and Elias Lindholm replied for the Flames, who were returning from a five-day hiatus without a game.
Jacob Markstrom allowed three goals on 32 shots in the loss.
Trailing 3-2, the Flames pulled out Markstrom in favor of an additional player with 1:49 remaining. Despite this advantage, they were unable to force an overtime.
