More than 170 Ukrainian drones have been put into operation since the beginning of the year – Ministry of Defense

For the first nine months of 2024, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have allowed the use of more than 140 unmanned aerial and 33 ground robotic complexes of Ukrainian production.

Details: The Ministry of Defense reported that compared to last year, when 60 drones and 9 ground robots were authorized, the pace of production and implementation has increased significantly.

Rochniak emphasized that Ukrainian gunsmiths are adapting to new requirements of the front, creating unmanned systems for a variety of tasks.

Direct speech: “The role of unmanned systems is growing rapidly on the battlefield. Ukrainian gunsmiths quickly respond to the needs of the front, producing aviation drones and ground robotic complexes of various types and purposes.”

Details: According to him, Ukrainian gunsmiths are actively developing the production of aviation drones for various purposes – bombers, reconnaissance drones – tactical, operational, and tactical drones are also produced: strike, reconnaissance, and evacuation , engineering, etc.

The Ministry of Defense also reported that of all drones approved for use this year, more than 40% were codified during the third quarter of 2024.
