The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy added six new elements to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine. In a new material, Radio Maximum tells more about them.
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reported this on July 25.
Added to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage Elements :
- the tradition of bell-ringing in Lviv;

- culture of preparation and consumption of “covered cabbage” of Lviv Oblast;
“Blanched cabbage”
- the tradition of creating the Boyki Easter egg with a pin;

- the ceremony of establishing a “milestone” in Pereyaslav region;

- program for protection of the tradition of covering houses with straw and reeds in the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine;

From now on, local communities must take measures to take into account the recommendations and proposals of the Expert Council on of intangible cultural heritage under the ICIP on the protection of elements of intangible cultural heritage.
