According to information from Fars, Afkari's execution took place in the country on September 12, when a higher order was enforced. At first, the athlete was prosecuted for participating in anti-government protests. However, in the course of the investigation, evidence was found that a mixed martial artist had killed a guard. It happened in the city of Shiraz back in 2018. The execution took place this morning.
At the same time, a day earlier, Donald Trump appealed to the authorities with an appeal to abandon the execution of capital punishment for Afkari. The head of the United States is convinced that the entire violation of the latter consisted in participating in a street demonstration against the government.
