Military drone fraud: Lviv court chooses preventive measure for suspect

Investigating judge of Lychakivskyi district court of the city Lviv considered the investigation's request and ordered the detention of a woman suspected of fraud in the sale of drones to the military.

Fraud scheme

According to the investigation, the suspect created a fake Instagram page, where offered military ammunition and drones, which she did not actually have.
As a means of communication, she used the social network messenger.
The victims, including the military, transferred funds, believing that they were buying the necessary equipment for the front.
The total amount of damages exceeds 500,000 hryvnias.

Court's decision

The court ruled:
60 days of detention
Possibility of filing bail in the maximum allowable amount for this category of cases

Interestingly, this is not the first case of fraud involving this person – previously she was suspected of schemes involving the sale of military ammunition and MAVIK 3T drones.
