The head of the Russian Ministry of Health assessed the results of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine test. Mikhail Murashko gave them a positive assessment.
The official noted that the post-registration study of the Sputnik V vaccine is encouraging. Specialists from Belarus are taking part in this process. All the results obtained at this stage satisfy the representatives of medicine. At this stage, they plan to vaccinate about 40 thousand people, and another quarter of the subjects will receive a placebo. This is required in order to more accurately determine the effectiveness of the drug. The study has been going on for almost a month, but so far it has not been completed. The vaccine is based on the method of administration of its two components with a difference of three weeks. All people participating in the experiment gave their voluntary consent to this.
Sputnik V is the world's first coronavirus vaccine. It was developed by Russian scientists from the Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry. It is issued with the support of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
