On Thursday, January 26, a patrol of the Polish Border Service was pelted with stones from the Belarusian side of the border, as a result, more than a dozen illegal migrants were detained.

The Polish Border Service announced this on Friday, writes "Ukrainian true. "

They claim that on January 26, 46 foreigners tried to enter Poland illegally. The border patrol, which intervened in one of the incidents, was stoned.

< em>"In the service area of the border post "Cheremkha" officers found a group of fifteen foreigners who had recently illegally crossed the Polish-Belarusian border. The message says.

As a result of the incident, people were not injured, but one of the cars of the border guards was damaged.

Among the detainees – two Turkish citizens whose task was to lead a group of migrants across the border, hand them over to specially designated people (“couriers”) and return to the Belarusian side of the border.

This is not the first such case. In April 2022, Polish border guards reported an attempt by illegal migrants to get out of the territory of Belarus and an attack by the Belarusian military.

BAGNET notes that the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border escalated in November 2021, when a crowd of migrants brought to Belarus, under the Lukashenko regime, approached Polish territory. The migrants were instructed to break through the Polish border to put pressure on Poland and, accordingly, on the European Union.
