Microsoft will end support for Windows 8.1 on January 10

< p>The American corporation Microsoft will end the period of support for Windows 8.1 operating system from January 10, 2023. This means that system updates will be stopped from that time, and technical support will not be provided.

< p>Microsoft warns that PCs running Windows 8.1 will become more vulnerable to attacks after January 10 and encourages users to upgrade to Windows 11.

Windows 8.1 was released in 2013 and has become one of the Microsoft operating systems that receives more criticism: users complained about the inconvenience and slow work.

Two years later, Windows 10 came out, which became one of the most successful products of Microsoft – by March 2020, it was installed on more than 1 billion computers. Currently, more than 1.4 billion devices have installed Windows 10 and Windows 11.
