The Microsoft company presented joystick for people with disabilities

Microsoft has announced the release of a new Xbox Adaptive Joystick controller designed for gamers with disabilities, which will appear on the market in early 2025. This is reported by The Verge.

This controller will cost $29.99 and will be connected via wires to existing Xbox controllers. It features four buttons, a joystick and two additional buttons for controlling bumpers and triggers.

The new joystick allows you to control the game with one hand, making it ideal for players who find it difficult to use standard controllers. All buttons are customizable, and you can 3D print different joystick attachments to change the size and shape of the joystick.

Microsoft worked closely with people with disabilities to develop this product. . For example, the Xbox team visited a hospital in Seattle with prototypes of the joystick to get feedback on its usability.

The joystick can also be mounted on a tripod, thanks to a special mount. In addition, Microsoft together with 8BitDo presented a new Lite controller SE for $59.99, also designed for gamers with disabilities. It has low button resistance and a convenient arrangement of controls.
