Microsoft became the owner of ZeniMax Media, as reported on the Internet by Phil Spencer, who heads the gaming division of the manufacturer of various software. The deal includes the following studios: Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane and Bethesda Game Studios. The same applies to Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, Roundhouse Studios, and MachineGames and id Software. ZeniMax Media is a group of companies that owns the rights to the following franchises: Doom, Quake, Dishonored, The Elder Scrolls, Prey, Wolfenstein, and Fallout.

Spencer noted that the company has plans to create new products. This is about disclosing their creativity to Bethesda and other teams, which will involve significant funding and other support. However, the details of the plan for the acquired studios were not disclosed.
