< p>The German car concern Mercedes-Benz has completely disconnected its Russian dealers from its own software. “Ukrinform” writes about this.
They also have limited access to online systems, which are used for car maintenance and problem detection.
It is noted that the lack of official software can increase the repair and maintenance of cars, as well as create problems with updates for new cars.
According to the car concern, access to online systems through which car maintenance is carried out has been suspended. .
In the company “Mercedes Benz RUS” stated that the repair and maintenance of machines will be carried out on the basis of “accumulated experience and knowledge”.
"Dealers are disconnected from the manufacturer's online software systems. In some cases, the lack of access to online systems will increase the repair time", – the company warned.
In the association “Car Dealers of Russia” stated that official dealers experience problems with the software of most foreign brands. The main problem is called the increase in repair times.
"This applies not only to Mercedes Benz, but also to BMW. Software and hardware from third-party developers sold on trading platforms help to bypass the restrictions. But in fact, now the term “official dealer” loses its meaning", — the interlocutor of the publication noted.
BAGNET reminds that at the end of November 2022, Mercedes-Benz announced its withdrawal from the Russian market and announced plans to sell its assets in the country “Avtodom” company. The amount of the deal was not disclosed. "Avtodom" reported that as part of the agreement, Mercedes received an option to purchase the Russian business at the market price.
