Singer-songwriter Stephan Moccio released an instrumental album a few months ago that has accumulated nearly 100 million plays to date.
The prolific musician is behind some of the most popular songs by recognized international artists like A New Day and Courage by Céline Dion and Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus.
After his many collaborations, he felt the need to focus on the instrumental. “I wanted to go back to simplicity because my life was so complicated,” he explained in an interview with LCN live from Los Angeles.
He took time for himself to write and play the piano. Thanks to the different online platforms, he sees a need to create instrumental music. “People need this,” he said.
“I really wanted to produce music that is very introspective, that you could hear yourself, listen to yourself and concentrate. You can read, cook or relax, ”added Mr. Moccio.
Even if it seems surprising to be able to find a link between pop hits and his instrumental pieces, Stephan Moccio ensures that it is only a question of being simple.
“My pop melodies coming out of my fingers, you could almost hear that on my instrumental album. We are not too far; we think these are two extremes, but beautiful pop music, it’s music that has a lot of melodies, ”said the artist.
