Who owns the old Avengers Tower since Tony Stark parted ways with it? A question that has remained unanswered for many years. But the trailer for Thunderbolts has finally provided a concrete answer!
The history of Avengers Tower
Originally, Avengers Tower was a simple building owned by Tony Stark. In the first two Iron Man and in the first Avengers,This tower is simply the home of the wealthy inventor and philanthropist: the Stark Industries Tower. But, after the events of the first Avengers, Tony Stark decides to make an update. Stark Tower then becomes the Avengers Tower. A place that can accommodate all the Avengers.
Unfortunately, the tower is stormed by Ultron in the second Avengers film.Events that push Stark and his friends to change headquarters. In 2017, in Spider-Man: Homecoming, we learn that the Avengers are moving. A transfer supervised by Happy Hogan. The Vulture also takes advantage of this move to try to recover some of Tony Stark's weapons.
From Avengers: Infinity War, the Avengers, more and more numerous, have therefore moved into a huge complex. A complex attacked by Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. However, we still did not know, until now, to whom Tony Stark had sold his Tower. The trailer for Thunderbolts has finally answered this question.
We know who owns the old Avengers Tower
Some time after its sale, Avengers Tower has retained its iconic A. But, in 2024 (in the MCU timeline), after the events of the Blip (Thanos' finger snap), the old Stark Industries Tower lost its A.

First images that have just revealed to us the identity of the new owner of the former Avengers Tower. Indeed, Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, seems to be the new owner of the establishment.
At the end of the trailer, Yelena (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) are all summoned to the old Stark Tower by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Already present in the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but also in Black Widow and in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's intentions are still quite vague. We only know that she is the director of the CIA in the MCU and we could easily compare her to a sort of Nick Fury 2.0.
Valentina Allegra de Fontaine should play a major role in Thunderbolts. It seems that she is the leader of this new team, in the same way that Nick Fury was in the Avengers era. The latter have not been active since Avengers: Endgame. And, it seems that the American government is looking to replace them, probably with the Thunderbolts. A theory that makes sense when we know that Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) will be the new President of the United States in Captain America: Brave New World. The latter will therefore surely be the initiative of this new team of superheroes: the Thunderbolts. And who says new team, says new HQ. It is therefore also quite logical to see Valentina Allegra de Fontaine set up shop in the old Avengers Tower.
