(Paris) The successful novelist Marc Levy will publish on March 2 the second part of a series entitled 9, just five months after the first, its publisher announced on Friday.
Twilight of the Beasts is edited by Robert Laffont, who describes in a press release “a committed spy novel which dazzlingly reveals the excesses of our time”, with a group of hackers seeking “to thwart the conspiracy of wild beasts” which aims to “create chaos, appropriate all wealth and rule without limits”.
It is the continuation of It happened at night, released on September 29, which achieved a score of “more than 350,000 copies in less than three months”, according to Robert Laffont editions.
Over the first twenty years of the century, Marc Levy was “the most read French writer in France (source GfK) and in the world, with 50 million copies sold,” recalls the publisher.
However, none of his titles appear in the ranking of the 10 best-selling books of 2020 published Thursday by Weekly Books. His eternal rival, Guillaume Musso, however, has two: The secret life of writers (483,000 copies), second, and Life is a novel (397,000 copies), fifth.
