A man from Forrest, in Manitoba, is accused, following an investigation by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), of importing prohibited firearm suppression devices, also known as “silencers.”

The man faces three charges under the Criminal Code of Canada, namely: importation of prohibited devices, unsafe storage and trafficking in prohibited devices.

In a statement, Canada Border Services Agency Prairie Region Director General Janalee Bell-Boychuk said the charges announced today demonstrate the CBSA's commitment to preventing illegal firearms and firearm parts from entering our communities.
