Against the will of President Claus Vogt, the general meeting of VfB Stuttgart takes place on March 28th. It was not only on this issue that the club boss was overruled by his presidium colleagues Bernd Gaiser and Rainer Mutschler.
Stuttgart – Bernd Gaiser and Rainer Mutschler, members of the executive committee of VfB Stuttgart, announced on Friday evening on the club’s homepage, as expected, that the Bundesliga club’s members’ gathering to be made up for 2020 would take place from the originally planned March 18 at ten days to March 28 (13:00) to move.
The event will be “held as a purely digital gathering due to the current pandemic situation and the current legal situation”. One will “take care of the organization and legal security of the general meeting together with the project group and the carefully selected technical service providers”.
The formal invitation will be sent out in early March.

Previously, President Claus Vogt had been overruled on the question of scheduling by his two colleagues on the Presidium.
The club boss had pleaded in vain for a move to early summer or autumn.
A few minutes after the official announcement of the new date, Vogt also reported on the VfB website and expressed his regret: “This is not the wish of a large number of members, not even of over 140 official fan clubs who are publicly opposing one the digital general meeting in March.
The same goes for the fan committee as the official organ of VfB, as well as members of the association’s advisory board who wanted an event at a later date. ”His suggestion to carry out a member survey on the date was also rejected.

At the same time, Vogt made it clear that it had also been his concern to publish Esecon’s final report on the data affair and “make it available for inspection to all members promptly”. This was the promise made by VfB in a statement on October 13th. “Here too,” said the President, “I was overruled by my two colleagues on the Presidium.”
