Man exposed as spy for FSB: passed on data about the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Pokrovsky District was reported on suspicion of high treason (Part 2, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office established that in 2024 the man began to cooperate with Russian special services, passing on information about the location of Ukrainian military personnel. He maintained contact via the Telegram messenger, where he received tasks from a representative of the Russian FSB.

How the agent worked?

• On the recruiter's instructions, the spy collected information about the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsky direction.

• Using Google Maps, he marked the coordinates, took screenshots, and sent them to the curator in Russia.

• The occupiers promised to pay him 50,000 rubles (≈21,000 UAH) for the collected data.

However, after completing the tasks, he never received the agreed funds.

The pre-trial investigation into the case is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
