The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba (RCMP) have charged Ryan Howard Manoakeesick, 29, with the first degree murder of his three children, his partner and a 17-year-old girl. The victims were found in three different locations near Carman on Sunday.

On Sunday, around 7:30 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of an accident near Carman. A woman was found dead at the scene. The police indicate that it was the partner of the man arrested, aged 30.

Subsequently, the RCMP Headingley received a second report near Highway 424, where officers discovered three children who had been pulled from a burning vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene. They included the couple's son, aged 4, as well as their daughters, aged 2 months and 6 years.

The 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Police officers then went to a house located in Carman, where they discovered a teenage girl dead. RCMP say she is the 30-year-old woman's 17-year-old niece.
