Significant drug seizure in Sherbrooke

During a search carried out on rue Saint-Michel-Archange, in the Saint-Élie sector of Sherbrooke, police officers seized a large quantity of drugs , Wednesday.

In total, nearly 900g of cocaine, 1200 methamphetamine tablets, 400 miscellaneous tablets, small quantities of cannabis and hashish, an electric shock weapon and just over $6300 were seized. Drug trafficking equipment and a Ford F-150 truck were also seized.

A 45-year-old man and woman were arrested during the search. The suspect appeared at the courthouse on Wednesday. He was accused of drug trafficking and possession and of failing to comply with release conditions. As for the woman, she will appear later.
