Lucifer season 5, part 2: 6 theories on the sequel

Lucifer season 5, part 2: 6 theories on the continuation What will happen in the continuation of season 5 of Lucifer? We do not yet know when Part 2 will be released but it is already eagerly awaited by those who devoured Part 1, available on Netflix since August 21. On the web, some fans already have ideas on what awaits Lucifer, Chloe or Michael. Discover 6 theories about the rest of the series. Warning, this article contains spoilers.

The continuation of season 5 of Lucifer promises to be complicated for the hero played by Tom Ellis. In an interview, the actor opened up about what's in store for his character and hinted that Part 2 shouldn't hit Netflix for quite a while. It must be said that the shooting of the last episode is not finished since it was interrupted following the health crisis linked to the Coronavirus. For now, we do not know more about what awaits us but the fans already have some ideas.

1. Lucifer never returned to Earth

In the first episode of season 5 of Lucifer , we found our hero in the process of “torturing” a man, not by making him undergo the worst atrocities but thanks to a time loop. What if, in fact, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) never came out of the Underworld and therefore did not return to Earth? According to a fan theory, the character is actually stuck in a time loop. A rather intriguing idea but which still seems a bit far-fetched …

2. Maze will die

What if the sequel was tragic? Ok, we already had a big death with the death of Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) at the end of season 3 but according to one theory, another death could be on the program in the sequel: Maze (Lesley Ann-Brandt) . In part 1 of season 5, the demon discovered the truth about his mother Lilith, who had become mortal. A revelation that overwhelmed her and led her on a new quest: to have a soul. What if she succeeds … but ends up dying? This is what some internet users think. At the end of Part 1, Maze had switched sides to join Michael and we would see her finally sacrificing herself for Lucifer.

3. Lucifer will no longer be the guardian of the Underworld

What if Lucifer was no longer the keeper of the Underworld soon? This theory originated on Reddit after a photo was posted on the show's official Instagram account. In the picture, we saw Lucifer with … black wings when they are normally white. If some thought it was Michael, the twin of Lucifer, the official account of the series assured in comment that it is Lucifer who is present in the image. Suddenly, some think that our hero will lose his status as guardian of the Underworld and therefore inherit black wings. But then, who will take his place? First idea: God, who made a short appearance at the end of episode 8, could replace him … with Michael! Another idea? Lucifer could in fact become the new God and therefore replace his father to guard the gates of Heaven. Yes, just that !

4. Ella will find out the truth

In part 1 of Lucifer season 5, it was Dan (Kevin Alejandro) who learned about Lucifer's true nature after manipulation by Michael. Ella (Aimee Garcia) is therefore the only one who does not know the truth about her colleague. But that might not last … According to one theory, Ella could soon find out that Lucifer is Santan, something that could well disturb her since she is very religious. After the story with Pete (played by Alexander Koch), this possible revelation could have serious consequences.

5. Lucifer will become mortal

Lucifer season 5 will not be the last but we are approaching the end … But how Lucifer and Chloe (Lauren German) will be able to live their love story knowing that one is immortal and the other not? According to a fan idea, it could be that Lucifer finally decides to become mortal, as Lilith, Maze's mother, did in episode 4. A sacrifice that would allow him to live a long life alongside the one who 'he likes.

6. Chloe will become immortal

Another theory on this subject: it is Chloe who could become immortal. How? 'Or' What ? Thanks to the ring that Lucifer wears and which contains the immortality of Lilith. A fan on Twitter would even like this ring to serve as the couple's engagement ring. We can always dream !
