London Fashion Week amid COVID-19

London Fashion Week kicks off on Thursday. Most of the screenings can only be seen via video broadcast on the Internet. But the organizers are already glad that the event will take place at all. This is one of the few international events to take place in London this month. The organizers believe it will be a landmark event.

Stephanie Fair, Chair of London Soda Week: “We've got a reason to really rethink the entire fashion industry: the frequency of fashion weeks, their purpose and organization; how fashion houses are created; how they should be arranged from the point of view of designers. Like other sectors of the economy, the fashion industry is trying to assess the impact of covid. ”

In Britain, the fashion industry employs 890 thousand people. Last year, it produced goods and services totaling $ 38 billion. The British Fashion Council, organizer of London Fashion Week, has announced a £ 1 million fund to help run-of-the-mill designers.
