The governor of the Kaliningrad region complains about Lithuania
Russia will lose up to 50% of deliveries to the Kaliningrad region by rail through Lithuania.
Lithuania intends to block the transit of about half of the goods via railway to the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the head of the Russian region Anton Alikhanov, writes Radio Liberty.
According to him , the ban will affect from 40% to 50% of imported and exported products from Russia through Lithuania, in particular, these are building materials, cement and metal.
Because of this, the Russian Federation plans to increase the number of ships on the route Ust-Luga – Baltiysk.
Alikhanov said that this «is a serious violation … the right to free entry and exit from the Kaliningrad region».
This week, the Seimas of Lithuania recognized the forced removal of Ukrainian citizens to Russia as the deportation of the Ukrainian people.
