On the other side of the Atlantic, D23 is in full swing, and Disney fans are stocking up on unpublished images and juicy information about the company's future projects. While the trailer for the live-action Snow White makes you want to gouge your eyes out, the first teaser for Lilo & Stitch is much more promising (phew).

Lilo & Stitch: Disney unveils a first teaser and a release date

disney announces the arrival of Lilo & Stitchin pictures

Announced in 2018, the live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, the 2002 cartoon that instantly became a cult classic when it was released, is finally revealed through the first images. Back in February, we shared with you some photos from the set of the film, which gave you a glimpse of it without the special effects. This weekend, for the lucky ones who attended the various panels at D23, the famous Disney convention, the remake was revealed in preview via a few seconds of teaser. Since shared on the official social networks of the big-eared firm, he presents to fans the famous little blue extraterrestrial creature in a realistic version.

Experiment 626 has entered the chat! The live-action #LiloAndStitch is coming only to theaters in Summer 2025! pic.twitter.com/82KFLEFL5E

Furry, smiling, with disproportionately large ears, as adorable as in the animated film from the 2000s, “Experiment 626” is back, better than ever. The look of Lilo's little pet, the heroine, is faithful to that of the cartoon. Fans of the original version will have recognized the accents of the voice of Chris Sanders, who already dubbed the character in the 2002 classic. If a release date is announced for the summer of 2025, no trace however of the little Maia Kealoha, who will slip into the skin of Lilo Pelekai. It will be for another time…

And you, what do you think of this teaser?
