Like, share and comment on Facebook for more fake news, study

Studies show that fake news is what people see and share more than the real news on Facebook. The study was conducted by researchers at the University of New York and the University of Grenoble Alps in France.

The study found that fake news was six times more likely to be involved than true news. The researchers surveyed more than 2,500 pages of news portals between August 2020 and January 2021.

Fake news pages are constantly getting more likes, shares and comments. The study also found that publishers are more likely to share misleading information. The research study report will be published ahead of the Internet Measurement Conference in November.

The company does not provide researchers with information on the reach of Facebook content. Instead, researchers are using Facebook’s own Crowd Tank service to gather information.
