The Ukrainian studio Brenntkopf Studio Kharkiv created a new computer game “Twenty-second: Stories of Underground Kharkiv”. It tells about the lives of people in the subway during a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
The game has Ukrainian voice and subtitles in English, French, Italian, German and Polish. It can be purchased on Steam for 50 hryvnias. This is written by store.steampowered.
In the new game, the character plays the role of a history teacher, who during six days in the subway must prepare for lessons, arrange shelters, participate in the life of the station and help others.
2022 year. Kharkiv was bombarded from the side of the border. People, looking for protection from bombs and rockets, descended into the subway, which became a real bomb shelter for the citizens. You are one of those who were in the underground at the beginning of the full-scale war. So now you mostly have an underground life, says the description of the game.
To improve image quality and create transparent textures, the developers used artificial intelligence. And some images were processed with the help of artistic filters.
The developers note that the game carries an anti-war message. Although it does not contain violent scenes, the subject itself may be too difficult for younger audiences.
The author of the project is Vitaly Chizh from Brenntkopf Studio Kharkiv. In Ukraine, the game can be purchased for 50 hryvnias. The developers plan to transfer 85% of the sales to the special unit of the GUR MOU “Kraken”, which is also featured in the game.
