LG has developed an innovative screen that can be stretched and twisted without cracking or damage.

The screen is about 30 centimeters (12 inches) long, but it can be stretched to 45 centimeters (18 inches), which corresponds to a 50% increase. It maintains a resolution of 100 ppi and displays RGB colors.
This flexibility is achieved thanks to the silicone substrate used in the contact lenses, a flexible wiring design and micro-LEDs down to 40 micrometers in size. .

Developers tested more than 10,000 cycles of stretching and twisting, during which the screen maintained a high-quality image even under the influence of extreme temperatures.
This screen is not yet available for sale, but has already been tested as a control panel in cars and as an integrated part of firefighters' uniforms to provide important information about the situation and their location.
