LG Electronics announced on the 13th that it will officially sponsor the Tennessee Titans, an American professional football league (NFL) team based in Nashville, Tennessee, for three years. It is the first time that LG Electronics sponsors an NFL team.

LG Electronics established a washing machine factory in Clarksville, Tennessee, in 2019. LG Electronics runs brand advertisements through electronic billboards at the Titans home stadium, as well as LG premium home appliances experience space for home fans.

LG Electronics is also running the used clothing recycling campaign ‘Second Life’ in Tennessee, which has been running in major cities in the United States. The Titans players and local residents will participate together to manage the collected used clothes with LG washing machines and dryers, and then donate them to organizations in need.

In addition, it plans to donate air conditioners and air purifiers to community facilities such as nursing homes and youth centers. LG Electronics has recently been accelerating its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) management by actively participating in various activities to solve environmental problems so that future generations can enjoy a better life.

Tae-bong Yoon, president of LG Electronics North America and head of the U.S. subsidiary (Vice President) said, “LG Electronics will further expand its position as a premium brand in the US market and strive to continue its growth based on the local production system.”

On the other hand, the American Professional Football League is one of the four major sports in the United States along with the American Professional Basketball (NBA), American Professional Baseball (MLB), and the North American Ice Hockey League (NHL). The 2021-2022 season kicked off on the 9th local time.
