Lenovo company releases ThinkPlus GaN chargers with a capacity of up to 140 W

Lenovo expanded the line of chargers ThinkPlus  two new models designed for the Chinese market. Belonging to the Light and Shadow series, these chargers are designed to power multiple devices simultaneously.

The first model boasts a four-port configuration with two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports.  Lenovo claims to be able to provide a maximum output power of 100W and fully charge a ThinkBook 14 G6 laptop in less than an hour and fifteen minutes.

Although the charger is designed primarily for laptops, the charger's compatibility with various charging protocols allows it to power a range of devices, including smartphones, gaming handhelds and other accessories.

The second charger has three ports: two USB-C and one USB-A. This model has more power with a maximum power of 140 watts. Lenovo claims it can charge an Apple MacBook Pro 14 in about 74 minutes. Like its 100W counterpart, this charger supports multiple charging standards, allowing for a variety of devices.

Both chargers use GaN technology, which contributes to their compact size and portability. The inclusion of folding teeth further increases their travel convenience. In addition, Lenovo has included several safety features to protect devices while charging.

The 100W four-port charger is priced at 249 yuan, while the 140W three-port model is priced at 369 yuan. While these chargers are currently exclusive to the Chinese market, their availability in other regions remains unknown. For consumers who need similar options, the UGREEN Nexode 140W Power Adapter is a potential alternative.

Lenovo did not provide a specific timeline for the potential global release of these ThinkPlus chargers.
