However, in 2012, after the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, the character represented as a slave is becoming increasingly rare in the media and products of the franchise. Since the acquisition, LEGO has only released one Star Wars set featuring Princess Leia in this outfit. Now, a new version is about to be released, but it shows much less skin.

A much more modest Lego slave Princess Leia

Indeed, on September 21, the X Brikset account shared two visuals of Princess Leia, one for the 2013 version and the other for this year's. And it is clear that, even if the new Leia remains the same, she is now dressed in a much wider skirt, covering the entire top of her legs. In addition, the new figurine no longer shows the side of Princess Leia's thighs or buttocks. In short, this 2024 version of Slave Leia is much more modest!

Some commentators mock people who say they are scandalized by this version more modest of the figurine. Others cry wokeism. There are also those who seem to think that Disney is trying to erase history or that the studio is censoring. The “scandal” may be going a bit far for a simple LEGO figurine.
