Nobel Peace Prize winner, ex-president of Poland Lech Walesa called for “reducing” Russia to 50 million people to secure Ukraine after the war. The French edition  Le Figaro writes about this.

Walensa noted the need to free “about 60 peoples” who remain oppressed prisoners of Russia.

"60 peoples live there, who were swallowed up in the same way as Ukrainians are being swallowed up today. We must help these peoples to rise. It is necessary either to change the Russian political system, or to reduce the population of Russia to less than 50 million”, – said Walesa.

According to him, it is necessary to “force a change in the political system in the country, organize an uprising of the peoples” ;.

"Even if Ukraine wins this war, in five years we will have the same thing, and in ten years we will see the emergence of another Putin. If it is impossible to change the country's political system, only the dismemberment of today's Russia will provide world security,” – said Walesa.

The ex-president of Poland agreed that the West is interested in expanding spheres of influence.

"We must understand that the West is expanding its power through NATO, the European Union through expansion, but in democratic ways. Russia is doing it with violence,” he added.
