The outgoing president of the Congress of the Republic, Lady Camones(Alliance for Progress), assured that some benches offered him not to vote for his censorship in exchange for not attending to some bills, such as the one that repealed the supreme decree that modifies the statute of the Educational Spill .

“I would have been able to stay in the position if I had agreed to some requests that were made to me. They offered me to do certain things in exchange for votes. I will always be faithful to my principles, I will not fail Peru. I am holding my head high and I am calm because I have been censured for not having given in to some requests that I definitely would never have attended to”, she expressed.
