The President of the Congress, Lady Camones (Alliance for the Progreso), referred to the request of the president Pedro Castillo to remove the head of the PNP Special Team, Harvey Colchado, and described it as “reprehensible in all its extremes”.
In statements to journalists, the holder of that power of the State questioned the adoption of “acts of intimidation” against Colonel PNP and said that information will be requested on the reasons argued by the head of state.
“Reproachable in all its extremes. Things have to happen as they have to happen, the President of the Republic has to show signs of transparency, of actions that are subject to law. Acts of intimidation cannot be adopted, here we are seeing it against a union leader and now against Colchado”, he expressed.
< i>“We are going to request information, what are the reasons that are driving the president to make this type of decision, which in fact we reproach him for. We do not accept it ”, he added.

As recalled, Castillo Terrones requested that the head of the PNP Special Team be removed for allegedly having “violated the immunity of the President of the Republic” on the day of the raid on the Government Palace to arrest his sister-in-law Yenifer Paredes.
The document, to which El Comercio had access, asks the Inspector General of the National Police to initiate a disciplinary process and retire Harvey Colchado, who leads the team that works with the prosecution against the corruption of power.
On the day of the intervention in the Government Palace, the police personnel and the Special Team of the Prosecutor's Office were detained by an hour and 15 minutes by members of the Military House, who indicated that Castillo had given the order that no one enter the residence.
It should be indicated that Pedro Castillo currently has six processes under way in the Public Ministry, five of which are for alleged crimes committed during his tenure as head of state.
The special team against the corruption of power has requested do preventive detention against the first lady, Lilia Paredes, and her sister, Yenifer Paredes , who are being investigated by a criminal organization.
