King Charles and Kate Middleton inundated with messages of support

King Charles and his son's wife Kate Middleton have been inundated with messages of support after announcing they are being treated for cancer.

People reports this.

According to the Royal Household's 2023-24 annual financial report and other highlights of their official work, Buckingham and Kensington Palaces received 138,303 letters, of which 27,620 were addressed to the King and Princess Kate.

King Charles announced his diagnosis on February 5, and Kate Middleton announced her illness on February 22 March.

Following the announcements, both took a break from public engagements: Charles returned to active duty on April 30, while Kate only made public appearances at the Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 15 and the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on July 14.

Kate Middleton expressed her gratitude for the support, emphasizing that the letters had a positive impact on her and William during these difficult times. King Charles also admitted that some of the letters were so touching that he could not hold back his tears.
