“You and your friends from the press unleashed everything, now you will not be able to save yourself, only death awaits you” . This was stated in part of the note that, together with three bullets, were found inside a manila envelope placed on the door of the house of the effective collaborator Karelim López, in Breña .
The businesswoman is one of the main witnesses and informer against characters linked to the president Pedro Castillo.
The intimidating message was placed —by unidentified people— in the lower part of the rear door of the house located in the second block of Jirón Oxapampa.
It was 6:30 in the morning when López Arredondo, who was returning from his morning walk with his dogs, found the envelope. Immediately, police personnel providing security verified the content.
