Just like grandma's: a recipe for puffy dumplings with cherries

The berry season is in full swing. This time, we will tell you how to cook fluffy dumplings with cherries.

Chef Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi shared the recipe on his Instagram. Try to prepare this summer treat yourself!

Cherry-cherry is love. The dough turns out to be tender, tender and fluffy, and this is my taste from childhood – eating hot is a pleasure!

For the dough:

  • 200 grams of kefir
  • 330 – 350 grams of flour plus dusting
  • 5 grams of soda – a teaspoon is not full (or take a bag of baking powder)< /li>

strong>We prepare:

  1. For the dough, kefir must be sour, you can even the one that has been in the refrigerator for a long time.
  2. We add salt and soda to the kefir , mix quickly, add flour and knead the dough. We let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
  3. The dough turns out to be very tender, so you can add a little more flour if necessary.
  4. We roll the dough on the table about 3 millimeters thick, cut out small balls .
  5. On each piece of dough, put a cherry that has just been soaked in sugar (the cherry is pitted beforehand) and quickly pinch the edges well.
  6. Steam it on cheesecloth – under a bowl 3.5 – 4 minutes.
  7. Remove in a bowl and grease with pieces of butter

Tips:

  • no overcook the dough;
  • it tastes great with cherries too.
