Ukrainian journalist Leonid Shvets compared Russian dictator Vladimir Putin with the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Who said that Russia has no image of the future? Here it is! At the forum "Russian Energy Week" Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of Equatorial Guinea, took part. He is 82, of which he has been in power for 45 years, the journalist noted.

Shvets pointed out the similarities between Putin and Mbasogo, as well as the situations in the two countries.

“Equatorial Guinea is one of the poorest countries on Earth, 20% of children die before reaching the age of 5, but Mbasogo is a billionaire. Local media write that their president is “like God in heaven” and is “in constant contact with the Almighty.” Putin has a lot to ask the old man about,” the journalist wrote.

Note that Mbasogo's meeting with Putin took place on September 26.
