Johnny Depp landed in court in a new case. This time, the lawsuit against the actor with allegations of assault and humiliation was filed not by ex-wife Amber Heard, but by manager Gregory Brooks, who worked with Depp on the film City of Lies. Depp allegedly insulted and punched him multiple times with full force in the chest on set in 2017. The British tabloid Daily Mail writes about this.

“Johnny's drunkenness and temper created a hostile, abusive and unsafe work environment”, which eventually led to him being attacked by Johnny while filming a crime thriller when he tried to enforce late night filming permit restrictions.

Greg claimed he was eventually fired from the film when he didn't want to sign a waiver of his right to sue over the incident.

But Depp claims his actions were in self-defense, and says, that Brooks “provoked” others.

The trial is due to begin on July 25.

Representing the interests of Johnny Depp will be his proven and once-winning lawyer Camilla Vasquez. Which helped him win a high-profile lawsuit against Heard. After winning such a high-profile case, Vasquez was promoted to a partner at the Brown Rudnick law firm where she works.

And Depp's close, sometimes even tender relationship with Vasquez in the courtroom gave rise to rumors of intimacy between the lawyer and the star client. Vasquez denied them, and Depp did not even comment.
