Mikhail was fond of wrestling and collected many posters with Cena. His family had to be evacuated from Mariupol bombed by the Russian occupation forces after their apartment was destroyed. Despite the fact that the guy suffers from Down syndrome, he flatly refused to leave his hometown and his family had to deceive him in order to take him abroad: he was told that they were going to Amsterdam to meet his idol. When the deception was revealed, the young man closed himself even more.

But Rogozhin's story got into the press: the wrestler learned about the guy from The Wall Street Journal article about the life of people with disabilities during the war.

“Mikhail's mother says that she helped her son survive the move from Ukraine, inspiring his stories that, supposedly at the end of the journey, Misha can meet a wrestling superstar. Therefore, when the family arrived in the Netherlands in May, Misha was upset that he did not see John” there, writes the British edition.

The film actor used the โ€œwindowโ€ in a busy schedule and came to Amsterdam to support a Ukrainian fan and express admiration for the courage of his mother.

“I had three day off from work. When I read this story and was an hour away from there, I arrived. An evening of building blocks and eating cake is a special evening when it comes to special new friends that I got to meet”, the wrestler said.

As reported by ProShoKino, Richard Gere sells his convertible for Ukrainians.
