Jeremy Renner's injuries are “worse than anyone knows” and the actor “knows he almost died” in the snow

Actor Jeremy Renner, who was in a serious snowplow accident and is hospitalized, sustained injuries “worse than anyone knows,” which could require up to two years to fully heal, according to a new report on his condition.
A source close to the actor told the New York Post that his situation “is much worse than anyone knows” .
“Jeremy is well aware of the fact that he almost died out there,” he added.
“It is said that the damage to Jeremy's chest was so extensive that he had to be rebuilt with surgery,” another source added to Radar Online.
“So far, he has had two surgeries and will probably need more in the next few weeks on his leg,” he said. “Doctors tend to space out operations to allow time for the body's natural healing process to kick in, and that's the case here.”

According to TMZ, the Oscar-nominated actor suffered from “extreme difficulty” breathing and was bleeding profusely from his head. The right side of his chest collapsed when his upper torso was crushed by the vehicle, according to a 911 log.
The performer reassured his fans with an image on his Instagram account where he is visibly injured in the face and lying in a hospital bed. “ Thank you all for the kind words from him . I'm too messed up to be writing right now, but I'm sending lots of love to everyone,” he said.

According to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, an investigation was underway into Renner's “serious injuries,” including checks for any signs of mechanical failure. At a news conference Tuesday, investigators said there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident, which was being treated as a “tragic accident.”
Renner plays Hawkeye, a member of the superhero squadAvengers in the sprawling Marvel Cinematic and TV universe.
He has been nominated for an Oscar twice for his performance, earning back-to-back nominations for The Hurt Locker and The Town. Renner's portrayal of a deactivation specialist of bombs in Iraq in 2009's The Hurt Locker helped make it a household name.
The Avengers in 2012 cemented it as part of Marvel's larger storytelling ambitions, with his character appearing in several sequels and getting his own Disney+ series, Hawkeye.
