The Bahrain team confirmed that members of the police raided several homes of cyclists and their staff before the start of the Tour de France 2022, which will start this Friday.

And he added: “The team cooperates constructively in all procedures and with all competent institutions. The investigation into the members of the team, which began almost a year ago and did not yield any results, continues just before the start of the cycling race most importantly, the Tour de France, and damages the reputation of the individuals and Team Bahrain Victorious”.
Bahrain cautioned that due to recent investigations, the team feels that the timing of this investigation is aimed at intentionally damaging reputations.
It was reported that the house searches experienced by the members of Team Bahrain Victorious represent a continuation of the investigative process that began during the team's successful performances at last year's Tour de France.
“Bahrain Victorious was the only Tour de France team under investigation during last year's race. At no time, and until today, has the squad been informed of any progress, results or received any comment about the investigation by the Marseille Prosecutor's Office,” said Bahrain.
The squad noted that it has repeatedly requested access to the file or knowledge of the status of the investigation, but without success.
“In addition, shortly after the investigation was carried out, the persons in charge illegally provided information about the seized items, from which an article was published in a professional medical journal,” it warns.
“After almost a year of unsuccessful efforts by the team to obtain additional information, investigators decided to launch new raids just days before the start of the most important cycling race, which certainly casts a shadow of doubt on the purpose of the investigation,” the team said.
