"IT employee" sentenced to 17 years in prison in Moscow for treason

The Moscow City Court found Russian IT employee Dmitry Shatresov guilty of high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 17 years in prison.

According to the court's verdict, Shatresov must serve his sentence in a maximum security prison.

The trial was held behind closed doors due to the fact that the case was classified as “Secret”. In connection with this, the court did not disclose the details of the accusation.
