It became known how the computer's

Many owners of laptops or desktop computers complain that the device is too slow. It freezes, crashes, takes a long time to download the necessary programs, takes a long time to turn on and reboot.

Of course, this is annoying and creates considerable discomfort in using the device. There can be quite a lot of reasons why this happens, and one of them is quite banal. We are talking about a “desktop” filled with shortcuts. PC. That is, the main screen, on which we see the icons of various programs, and here we can save various files, create folders, etc.

Why is a crowded desktop bad?

As experts note, the more all kinds of icons on the desktop, the more buggy the computer will be. Somehow this directly affects the speed of its work. Experts advise to have a maximum of 3-5 icons on the desktop. These are standard ones such as “My computer”, as well as some basic browsers, and perhaps the most necessary programs for work. Everything else needs to be removed, and also do not be lazy to delete unnecessary files from time to time. Also, don't forget to remove them from the Recycle Bin, as they continue to take up memory there.

What else slows down your PC?

Sometimes the reasons why a laptop is slow are much more serious. Among the main ones, the following can be highlighted:

Overloading of computer memory. Regularly clean your device with special programs, delete cache and unnecessary programs that you do not use.

Background updates. Sometimes the laptop can run very slowly because some system updates are being downloaded in the background. You can turn them off in the settings and update the laptop in a specific period of time when, for example, you are not using it.
Dust pollution. Also, the laptop will be very buggy if you cleaned it a long time ago and replaced the thermal paste. It is advisable to do this in special workshops and at least once a year.

For the best performance of the gadget, it is also recommended to keep it exclusively on a hard surface, and even better on a special cooling stand.
