Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue the campaign to destroy the militant group Hamas and criticized the UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
"Israel will not submit to Hamas's delusional demands and will continue to act to achieve all the goals of the war : release the abductees, destroy Hamas's military and administrative capabilities, and ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel."– Netanyahu said, according to Voice of America.
Hamas representatives said on Monday, March 25, that they had informed negotiators working on a ceasefire agreement that Hamas' proposal would remain unchanged.
It includes a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the exchange of hostages held in the Palestinian enclave for prisoners held in Israeli custody.
A senior Israeli official told Reuters that Israel had withdrawn its negotiators from Qatar. after negotiations for the release of more than 100 hostages held by Hamas “stalled.”
Israel believes that more than 30 more Israelis captured on October 7 have died.
